The people of Akpodim Autonomous Community in Ezinihitte Mbaise local Government Area of Imo State trooped out en -mass on Friday to present the Eze Elect of the Community, Mr Stanley Mbamaonyeukwu Obasi to the Executive chairman Of Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA Hon Ambrose Chinedum Nwachukwu and the Leadership of the council.
Speaking during the presentation, the President General of Akpodim Autonomous Community Engr. Maurice Maduka emphasized that the new Eze-elect was successfully screened in accordance with the Ezeship and chieftaincy/ Development Union of Akpodim Autonomous Community Constitution and emerged victoriously as the Eze-elect in a well publicized and attended plebiscite ( option A4) conducted on 31st May 2025 by the Akpodim Development Union federated, with overwhelming vote of one hundred and ninety one ( 191) and was returned elected one of the dignitaries at the event,
Lolo Lucky Ugboaja, the wife of the first Executive chairman, of Ezinihite Mbaise Local Government Area, Chief. Dan Ugboaja expressed her gratitude to God Almighty for helping them through out the process of the Eze’ s selection and victorious emergancy of Supol. Stanley Mbamaonyeukwu Obasi as Eze- elect.
The Acting Chairman of Ezinihitte Council of Traditional Rulers,
Eze , Dr, Ifeanyichukwu Uwahemo, In company with Eze, Ben Adindu, enjoined the new Eze- elect to always be grateful to God who gave him power amongst others to serve his people and equally charged him to humble himself in discharging his duty without favouritism, in order to last longer on the exalted throne of a traditional ruler.
In his response the Executive Chairman of Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA Hon. Ambrose Chinedum Nwachukwu, thanked the good people of Akpodim Autonomous Community for the peaceful conduct of their Ezeship election and solicited their support to the Eze-elect for effective representation ,peace and development Of Akpodim Autonomous Community .
He also urged the people to remain resolute, loyal and submissive to the current aUzodima, who has the interest of the people of imo state at heart and to continue supporting him at all times.
Other dignitaries at the event included, Nze Onyebuchi Nwimo, Nze Philip Nwachukwu, Hon. Martin Nwogu, Ezinwa Humphrey Ikpoha. Chief Philip Osuagwu, Hon Tobechi Onyenwe, Mr Kenneth Omenm, Mr Ezenwa Onyenwe and many others.
