A living church of God, The Lord’s Omnipotent Apostolic Church Int’l (Inc), Solution Chapter, located at Obibi Junction Umuorie in Naze autonomous community, Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State, has held its midyear thanksgiving on Sunday the 9th of August, 2026 at the church auditorium as people from all walks of life gathered together to rejoice with the members of the church.
Speaking with journalists immediately after the thanksgiving service, the senior pastor of the church, Pst Uzochukwu Sunday, said he and the members of the church gathered to appreciate, and thank God immensely for keeping them alive, and for other things God has been doing for them from January to June. He noted that the programme is done every year with 4 days revival, and pastors from different denominations attend the programme, adding that on the last day of the revival, they hold their thanksgiving service with their members, friends and well wishers.
According to him, every year, during the revival, they gather men of God together from different denominations to pray together for the state and the nation, preach the word of God, pray for each other, and encourage christians to focus on the heavenly race. The clergyman hinted that on the grand finale day, they gather together to praise God, worship Him, and thank Him for his love and mercy upon them. He, however, expressed gratitude to God for the successful occasion, and said he would remain grateful to Him forever. Pst Uzochukwu encouraged members of the church to continue propagating the gospel, and continue living a righteous life. The priest noted that in The Lord’s Omnipotent Apostolic Church, God’s presence is always there, and doing great as well as mighty things for the members of the church. He further noted that God is showing His goodness and greatness because the members worship God in truth and in spirit. He admonished christians to come, and worship with them so as to benefit God’s goodness. Pst Uzochukwu urged the people of Imo to live a righteous life. The priest thanked everybody for gracing the occasion, and asked God Almighty to bless them, and take them to their respective homes.
The occasion recorded huge success, and the dignitaries at event include the bishop of the Lord’s Omnipotent Apostolic Church, Rev Chuks Oge, the state publicity secretary of Igbo National Council (INC), Imo State Chapter, Comr Engr Chikaodi C.A.M, the financial secretary of the Abbanifas People’s Assembly For Reformation And Transformation (APART), Imo State Chapter, Evang Doris Chizobam Nwosu and others too numerous to mention.
