The National Examinations Council (NECO), has said it is not currently recruiting staff and would always adhere strictly to due process and relevant extant laws when the Federal Government gives approval for staff recruitment

Acting Director, Information and Public Relations of NECO, Sani Azeez, in a statement yesterday, urged the public to disregard an online publication purporting that the Council is planning to recruit new staff.

It said the attention of the National Examinations Council has been drawn to an online publication, purporting that the Council is planning to recruit new staff.

The statement advised members of the public to disregard the publication as it has no plan to recruit new staff, even as itstates that the publication is the product of the imagination of fraudsters who are out to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.

It warned applicants and job seekers to be- ware of fraudsters and criminals who may hide under the guise of recruitment to defraud them.
