The newly elected Executive Members of Dim Na Nume Town Union, Nwangele Local Government Area, have paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Nwangele LGA, Hon. Chief Paul Chijioke Duru, at the Council Headquarters, Amaigbo.
Receiving the delegation, Hon. Chief Paul Chijioke Duru warmly welcomed the newly elected executives and members of Dim Na Nume Ward, assuring them of his administration’s continued support and commitment to the growth, peace, and development of Dim Na Nume Town Union.
The Chairman expressed delight over the visit and commended His Royal Highness, Eze Nelson Obasi, for providing effective leadership and ensuring that the recently conducted election in Dim Na Nume Ward was peaceful and successful.
Hon. Duru charged the new executives to uphold integrity, transparency, unity, and accountability in the discharge of their responsibilities. He urged them to work closely with the traditional institution, community stakeholders, and residents to promote peace and sustainable development in the area.
The Chairman also called on the executives to support the APC-led government by voting for His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, for the Senate; Hon. Chief Cosmas Maduba (Odebube), for the House of Representatives; and Rt. Hon. Sir Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu, for the Imo State House of Assembly.
He urged the people of Dim Na Nume to remain peaceful, respectful, and supportive of their traditional ruler, Eze Nelson Obasi, while fostering unity and harmonious relationships among residents of Dim Na Nume Isu.
Hon. Duru further assured the community of his administration’s commitment to promoting job opportunities, empowerment programmes, infrastructure development, and other initiatives aimed at ensuring that the people benefit from the dividends of democracy. Speaking earlier, His Royal Highness, Eze Nelson Obasi, Eze of Dim Na Nume Autonomous Community, expressed appreciation to the Executive Chairman for receiving the delegation and commended him for his achievements and commitment to the development of Nwangele LGA.
Eze Nelson specifically praised the Chairman for promoting peace, security, and development across the Local Government Area since assuming office. He prayed for God to grant Hon. Duru wisdom, strength, and protection as he continues to serve the people.
The newly elected President-General of Dim Na Nume Ward, Chief Dioguuba Emmanuel Uchenna, expressed gratitude to the Executive Chairman on behalf of the newly elected executives and pledged their support and cooperation with his administration.
Chief Dioguuba also presented some of the pressing needs of the community, including the rehabilitation of the Umunabala road in Dim Na Nume Ward, which is currently in a deplorable condition and no longer motorable.
Other requests presented included the provision of electricity, creation of job opportunities, empowerment initiatives, and access to other government programmes and benefits for residents of the community.
He thanked the Executive Chairman for his assurances and positive disposition towards the needs of Dim Na Nume. He prayed for God’s continued blessings, wisdom, and protection upon Hon. Duru and all leaders of Nwangele LGA.
Those present during the visit included Hon. Wiseman Obasi, Vice President-General; Mr. Chinedu Iwuala, Secretary; Hon. Harry Anumnu, Treasurer; other executive members of the Dim Na Nume Town Union; and community stakeholders.
