It was celebration galore at Eluma Road, Mgbidi in Oru West LGA on Tuesday, 20th August 2024, as the Sole Administrator of the LGA ,Engr Ikenna Adikibe, visited a dump site that had blocked the entire street, thereby, causing health hazards to the residents of the area.
Describing the waste dump site as an eye sore, Engr Adikibe frowned at why such road that links both local government quarters, and Local Government Council Secretariat should be neglected and left to be covered by such disgusting huge waste site.
The SOLAD assured that a space and place would be created, where the waste would be evacuated to, so that the residents of the area will breath fresh air and live a healthy life.
Engr Adikibe, while on the inspection, disclosed that the closed roads around that axis would be cleared and opened for proper vehicular movement.
The residents of the area could not hide their joy as they thanked the SOLAD for coming to their rescue, describing him as the people’s SOLAD.
Those that accompanied the SOLAD on the inspection includes: The Oru west LGA Director of Admin and General Services, Mrs Ifunanya Ogbenta,, the Oru West LGA treasurer, and many others.
