Ongoing clearance and counter-insurgency operations by Nigerian Army troops under Operation HADIN KAI have resulted in the discovery and safe detonation of 14 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) across Gwoza Local Government Area in Borno State.

Military sources revealed to Zagazola Makama that the explosives were uncovered during intensified counter-IED (CIED) sweeps in Bitta and nearby communities.

The IEDs, suspected to have been planted by terrorists, were strategically placed along farmlands and key access routes, posing threats to both civilians and security forces.
