The Senator Patrick Ndubueze Youth Vanguard (SPY-V), was officially inaugurated on Sunday amid fanfare at Umuzu, Elugwu/Umuchienta in Ihitte/Uboma Local Government Area of Imo State.

The event, held at the country home of the Convener, Engr. (Chief) Innocent Ike Enwenaonu (Uzu 1 of Umuzu), followed the approval of the group’s strategic document in Abuja by Distinguished Senator Patrick Ndubueze.

In his opening remarks, Engr (Chief) Enwenaonu thanked members who travelled from different parts of the country at short notice  to honour the event and urged them to remain steadfast in pursuing the aims and objectives of the group.

He explained that his full support for the senator’s 2027 re-election bid was based on what he described as the lawmaker’s impactful performance within two and a half years of representing the Imo North Senatorial District (Okigwe Zone), citing ongoing projects such as the establishment of a Federal University in Okigwe, restoration of the Mobitra Electricity Sub-Station, facilitation of federal employment opportunities for youths, and distribution of empowerment items including tricycles, motorcycles, sewing and grinding machines.

In his acceptance speech, the Coordinator of SPY-V, Hon. John Ned Korie, described the re-election of Senator Ndubueze as sacrosanct, stressing that the senator remains a man of integrity who has kept his life simple and accessible to the people. He assured members that the group would intensify grassroots mobilization efforts across the zone ahead of the 2027 general elections
