The Imo state chapter of National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools under the leader of Dame Dr Nkeiruka Happiness Uhegbu, will today, Tuesday, September 15, 2024, host all private school proprietors, parents, learners and other stakeholders in education at a special summit in Owerri, Imo state capital.
The summit which is the main sole of the 2024 NAPPS Day Celebration on the theme, Transformation Education: partway to technology inclusion, innovation, future workforce and economic viability would hold at the Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kalu Square, Owerri with the governor of Imo state, Senator Hope Uzodimma as special guest of honour and the state deputy governor, Lady Chinyere Ekomaru as mother of the day.
Other prominent guests expected at the occasion are the Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chike Olemgbe, Imo state Commissioner for education, Prof Johncliff Nwadike, NAPPS National president, Hajia Samira Jibril, acting chairman, Imo State Universal Basic Education, Mrs Ifeoma Okeke, Imo state house of assembly committee on education, Hon Obinna Egu, National Vice president, NAPPS, Mrs Amaka Ezedebego, among others.
Keynote Speaker at the event is Lady Nob-Okoro B.O, director, Quality Assurance, Universal Basic Education, Owerri while father of the day is Alhaji Sai’d Mijinyawa, BOT chairman, NAPPS, Nigeria.
To this effect, all private schools in the state are to be closed today as all roads lead to the venue of the event.
