By Senator Onyekwere
Imo State House of Assembly has urged the State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, to direct the State ministry of Works And Infrastructure Development to commence reconstruction of Ihioma-Umuhu Okabia-Orsuihiteukwa with spur to Eziawa-Ihitenansa Road in Orsu Local Government Area Of Imo State.
This was as the result of the motion chiefly sponsored by the member representing Orsu State Constituency, at the House of Assembly, Hon. Francis Agabige during Plenary session yesterday.
Hon Agabige while presenting the motion regretted that the poor and dilapidated state of the link road in Orsu have made life difficult for the residents of the area and also a hindrance for fast returning of activities in the locality.
The Lawmaker noted that if the road is not fixed, it will be very difficult for the people of the area to return to their ancestral home after long abandonment due to insecurity in the past thereby, still making the area venerable to insecurity.
Agabige said that the road when reconstructed will greatly boost economic and social activities within Orsu Communities.
He therefore, urged the State Governor to urgently come to the rescue of the above road by directing the ministry of works to commence work on the said road.
