The Governor of Imo state, Senator Hope Uzodimma has reiterated his resolve to keep empowering both men and women in the state, stressing that he is a gender-friendly Governor.
The Governor stated this on Sunday, through his Deputy, Lady Chinyere Ekomaru, who represented him in a special thanksgiving church service at the Anglican Church of the Pentecost, Owerri, to Commemorate the birthday of one of his honourable Commissioners, Lady (Dr) Clara Njoku, the Commissioner, House of Assembly Service Commission.
He prayed for the commissioner and wished her well while enjoining all Imolites to continue to support the Shared Prosperity Administration.
“Dr. Clara, at this special service of your birthday and for all you are thanking God in your life, please, note that we are all thanking God with you.
“You are loved and cherished because you are strong and capable. All the Lord’s plan for you and your family, will come to a manifestation, the Governor prayed.

To the congregation, he said, “the support of God and that of you all will continue to see us through, so, continue to support our administration for a ceaseless delivery of the dividends of democracy to all Imolites.
Earlier, the officiating priest, Rev. Fortune Orji, who anchored his message on “the Grace and Mercy of God”, prayed for the success of Gov. Hope Uzodimma’s administration in Imo state, noting that, the Governor has done so well ,and also calling upon God to continue to show his grace and mercy to the Governor for the continuous success of his administration.
Thanking the Governor, his Deputy, Government of Imo state and the church in their separate speeches were the honourable Commisioner, Lady (Dr) Clara Njoku and her husband, Engr. Chibuzo Njoku, who expressed their profound gratitude for the love and support shown to their family.
The Deputy Governor was accompanied to the church by her very supportive husband, Chief (Bar) Chukwuma Ekomaru, SAN, the Deputy Chief of staff, Office of the Deputy Governor, Bar (Sir) Tobechi Ekomaru and his wife, Lady Chisom Ekomaru and other principal officers of the office of the Deputy Governor.
Also in attendance at the church were; the Vice Chancellor, Imo state University, Prof. Uchefula Ugonna Chukwumaeze, Imo former Commissioner for Land, Survey and Physical Planning, Sir Bon Unachukwu and other prominent Imolites too numerous to mention.
