…Lauds Uzodimma on good governance
The founder and Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the Shekinah British International School, Ihiagwa, Owerri, Dr. Smart Unegbu, who just joined the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, says that his aim of decamping is to strengthen the party.
Addressing journalists in Owerri, on Wednesday, Unegbu, educationist and entrepreneur, whose School has gained recognition for academic excellence, winning award as Best Private Secondary School in Imo, and 4th best Secondary School in Nigeria, also noted, that he is satisfied with achievements of the party.
Unegbu, who hails from Ihiagwa, in the Owerri West Local Government Area, disclosed, that the year he was approached to join the party, he gave them condition, saying if he sees tangible and measurable impact on Security, Youths empowerment, Health, capacity building, and in other sectors in the Owerri West, he would hesitate to join.
He noted, that Governor Hope Uzodimma has done well on road roads rehabilitation, emphasizing that the Ihiagwa/Nekede road is being given attention by the present administration of Sen. Uzodimma.
“The governor has done over ninety percent of the things that I wanted see. It’s rare to see Governor that performs well in his second term in office. During the Christmas period, there was no record of kidnapping and other form of in the State”.
He said, that he is going mobilize over One Million (1,000,000) support for the Governor as the 2027 general elections draw near, Commending him for having done well.
“For years, my interest has been helping my people, and developing their capacity. I have never joined any political party or even supported any candidate, interest has always been my people. Some years ago, politicians approached me to join the party and I told them I would join if I see reason to do so.
He also pledged to continue to support in the area of youths empowerment, and other areas in order to ensure that the party is taken to greater heights.
