The immediate past Sole Administrator of Ahiazu Mbaise L.G.A, Hon (Chief) Tony Anakani has declared his intention to contest the forthcoming Local Government elections, as the Executive Chairman of Ahiazu Mbaise L.G.A.

Hon Anakani made the declaration while addressing the Expanded Exco of the L.G.A chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, at the Party Secretariat, Afor Oru. Hon Anakani told the party officers that he had earlier declared his ambition at his Ward, Ogbor/ Umueze.

The former SOLAD told the gathering of party officers that he had always served the party and the L.G.A with utmost diligence and dedication, adding that the reward for good work is more work. Hon Anakani reminded the August body that during his time as the immediate past Solad, he discharged his duties with high sense of responsibility and purpose, culminating in his being recognized as one of the best performing Sole Administrators in Imo state. The former SOLAD equally informed the party officers that his most important selling point is that he has acquired ample experience in sharing prosperity, having partnered with His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma in his Shared Prosperity programme under the 3R Philosophy, adding that he is, therefore, the aspirant best suited to manage the affairs of Ahiazu Mbaise as the next Executive Chairman of the Council.

In his remarks, the L.G.A Party Chairman, Chief Ethel Ugwu, thanked Hon Anakani for the respect he has shown the Party by his consultative visit, beginning from his ward, which stands him out as a loyal Party man and astute politician. Chief Ugwu also said that Hon Anakani has proven himself to be an experienced Administrator.

The Party Chairman also used the outing to admonish all aspirants to run a campaign of decency based on issues that are important to the Party in particular, and Ahiazu Mbaise in general.

Other individuals who spoke included the L.G.A Party vice- Chairman, Hon Law Kire who extolled the leadership qualities of Hon Tony Anakani, and the ward Chairman of Ogbor/Umueze, Hon Jude Azubuike who informed his colleagues that the former Solad has been a patriotic Party man and his readiness for the job is assured, considering the outstanding and unique experiences he has acquired over the years.
