The Executive Chairman of Ehime Mbano Local Government, Hon. Chief Uche Nwodu, has assured that his administration will work hard to ensure that the people of Ehime Mbano Local Government enjoy affordable health care service delivery inline with the affordable health policy of His Excellency, Sen. Hope Uzodimma, the governor of Imo State.

The chairman who made the pledge during the inauguration of the Councilors from the 11 wards of the local government which took place at the council headquarters on Tuesday, called on the people to join hands and ensure that peace reigns because, according to him, there can be no meaningful development in an atmosphere of insecurity and fear.

He explained that his administration will initiate a program that will bring about 3,300 vulnerable people into Imo health Insurance Policy, which will cover children within 0-5yrs, elderly women, pregnant and nursing women for free medical treatment.

Hon Chief Nwodu reiterated the determination of his administration to entrench justice, fairness, balance, all inclusiveness and total development.

The councilors sworn in at the inauguration include: Hon Onyekachi Ifeanyi, Ihitte Nsu ward, Leader of the Council. Hon Edison Onyeocha, Umueze 2 ward, Deputy Leader. Hon Francis Onuoha, Umunakanu ward, Majority Leader. Hon Okechukwu Jonas Inegbu, Umunumo ward, Chief whip.

Others are: Hon Chima Iwuagwu, Umueze 1 ward, Hon Anthony Henry, Umualumaku ward, Hon Chijoke Ohaegbu, Umuezeala Ward, Hon Okechukwu Ogbonna, Ikpe Nsu ward, Hon Anthony Okolorie, Nzerem Ikpem ward, Hon Cosmas Uwaezuoke, Umukabia ward and Hon. Edwin Uwakwe, Agbaja ward.

Among the prominent personalities that witness the inauguration were Hon Mrs Chioma Nwosu, Deputy Chairman Ehime Mbano Local Government, HRH Eze Dan Emereonye, Chairman of Ehime Mbano Council of Traditional Rulers, Hon Chief Sir Martins Ikpa. Hon Chief Cosmas Nnodim. Hon Austin Iwuoha, Ehime Mbano Council Chairman among others.
