…Promises more collaborations

In a laudable gesture aimed at strengthening eye health service delivery in Imo State, Aihwa Vision Care on Tuesday, July 15, donated a brand-new laptop to the Nigerian Optometric Association (NOA), Imo State Chapter in a bid to support the association’s recently launched program for eye health data collection and facilitate enhanced eye health data management.
The event which has elicited joy among the optometrists, took place during a working visit of the Imo State NOA Chairman, Dr. Patrick Iwuchukwu, accompanied by other members, to the Aihwa Integrated Medical Clinic, along Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Ngor-Okpala LGA of Imo State.
Making the presentation, the Founder of Aihwa Vision Care, Rev. Fr. Dr. Kenny Udumka (Cssp), remarked that the gesture demostrated the Aihwa’s broader vision to support the digital transformation in optometric practice across Imo State.
The Catholic priest, stressed the need for improved eye health data collection and management in the state, adding that the laptop gifted to the Imo State Chapter of NOA was part of the vision center’s commitments towards supporting the noble initiative.
Supported by the management staff of Aihwa Vision Care, Fr. Udumka, reaffirmed their commitment to partnering with NOA Imo in various future initiatives aimed at strengthening eye care services and programs.
Responding, the Imo State NOA Chairman, Dr Patrick Iwuchukwu, expressed profound appreciation to Aihwa Vision Care for their thoughtful donation and strategic partnership intent, adding that such gesture would positively impact the association’s efforts towards achieving professional efficiency through data collection and management.
“This collaboration reflects the shared vision of achieving accessible, technology-driven, and community-focused eye care services for the good people of Imo State in line with the Imo State NOA recently launched Anya Di MmaNdi Imo Initiative for sustainable eye care,” Dr. Iwuchukwu stated.
The visibly elated Imo State NOA Chairman, further disclosed the unwavering dedication of optometrists as primary health care providers in the state towards ensuring good vision for the people of the state, as well as eliminating avoidable causes of blindness among the residents.
Dr. Iwuchukwu, who enjoined other good spirited individuals and organizations to emulate the good example of Aihwa Vision Care, expressed optimism for more fruitful partnerships from the center that will continue to raise the standard of optometric practice in the state and southeast region.
The event underscored the importance of fruitful partnerships and patriotic support for critical organisations that play crucial roles in promoting and sustaining the wellbeing of the citizens as Aihwa Vision Care has demostrated towards the Imo State NOA, with the hope that others would follow suit.
