Following the Advise from Health Staff, Headmistresses, and Headmasters that the Diphtheria disease has been contained to a minimum, the Executive Chairman of Aboh Local Government Area (LGA) Of Imo State, Barr. Iheukwumere Alaribe, has directed the reopening of Nursery, Primary, and Secondary schools in Aboh Mbaise, effective Today June 11, 2025.
In Press Release Signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman Of Aboh Mbaise LGA Mr Dike Godspower said that to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all learners, the following guidelines must be strictly adhered to:
– All learners must provide evidence of vaccination before being allowed to resume classes.
– School Heads and administrators must report any incident promptly to the relevant authorities.
According to the release the Education Secretary and all School Heads are mandated to ensure strict compliance with these guidelines.
“Let’s work together to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our learners.”
The release also appreciated the efforts of the health workers for their diligence in containing the Diphtheria outbreak.
“We look forward to a successful and safe resumption of academic activities in our schools”
