…Applauds party leadership for successful Anambra congress

Senator Uche Ekwunife, CON, has extended her warm congratulations to the newly elected executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Anambra State Chapter, from the Ward and Local Government levels to the State Executive Committee, following their successful emergence at the just-concluded party congresses.

She described the outcome of the congress as a clear affirmation of the collective will of party members across the State and a renewed mandate for unity, discipline, and purposeful leadership. According to her, the trust reposed in the new executives at this pivotal moment in the party’s journey comes with enormous responsibility, requiring capacity, inclusiveness, loyalty, and unwavering commitment to the progressive ideals of the APC.

Senator Ekwunife expressed profound appreciation to the Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum, Chairman of the South-East Governors Forum, and Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, for his steadfast leadership and strategic support in strengthening the APC in the South-East, particularly in Anambra State. She noted that Governor Uzodimma not only provided critical financial support for the congresses but also ensured their smooth, peaceful, and credible conduct.

She conveyed strong confidence in the leadership of the newly elected State Chairman, Distinguished Senator Emma Anosike, stating that his experience as a former Senator of the Federal Republic and his continued engagement in active politics have equipped him with the depth, maturity, and strategic insight required to reposition the party for greater electoral success in Anambra State.

While congratulating the new executives, Senator Ekwunife paid glowing tribute to the outgoing State Chairman, Hon. Basil Ejidike, commending his resilience, dedication, and exceptional capacity in sustaining and nurturing the APC structure in Anambra State through challenging periods. She described his stewardship as a testament to courage and loyalty to the progressive cause, and wished him continued relevance and greater accomplishments in his future endeavours.

She also expressed appreciation to the immediate past APC Gubernatorial Candidate in Anambra State, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, acknowledging his financial support and sustained commitment to strengthening the party’s structure. She further commended the APC Deputy National Organizing Secretary, Chidi Nze Duru, for his strategic contributions and unwavering dedication to consolidating the party’s presence in the State and across the region.

Senator Ekwunife applauded the Anambra State Congress Committee and the Returning Officer, Rear Admiral William Kayoda (rtd), for conducting the exercise in strict compliance with party guidelines and democratic principles. She noted that the orderly and transparent process reflects the APC’s commitment to internal democracy and institutional growth.

“This is a defining moment for our party,” Senator Ekwunife stated. “The expectations of our people are high. The newly elected executives must rise above personal interests, close ranks across divisions, deepen grassroots engagement, and work diligently to expand the acceptability and strength of our party across all communities in Anambra State.”

She noted that their ability to place party unity above personal interest significantly strengthened.
