An aspirant for the Chairmanship position of Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area, under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Steven Lemachi, has commended the governor of Imo state, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, for his pragmatic leadership, which he said, has helped to restore absolute peace in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area.
Lemachi made the commendation, while fielding questions from newsmen, after returning his completed Expression of Interest and Nomination forms to the APC Secretariat, Okigwe Road, Owerri, Wednesday.
He described himself as a core member of APC who has paid his dues.
“I felt my people need me this time around, in fact, I was busy with my business, but they kept beckoning on me to come back home and see how we can salvage our area”.
He, however, called on the good people of Ohaji/Egbema to continue to sustain the peace that is currently existing in the area.
Adding his voice, Pastor Emeka Nwulu, an APC political leader in the area, who accompanied Lemachi, described him as a man to reckon with.
“We have avalanche of aspirants, but this is someone who has the weight. He has what it takes to give what Ohaji/Egbema wants. Ohaji Egbema has been agitating for his kind of person. Those who lead in the past didn’t do what we expected from them.
“Now is a new time, it’s a new face, a new dawn. Definitely, by the time he is declared winner on the 21st of September, Ohaji/ Egbema will start breathing fresh air of economic and all-round emancipation,” Pastor Nwulu enthused.
