…Pleads with govt to repair Nekede -Ihiagwa road
The Management of the Shekinah British International Schools, located at Ihiagwa community, in the Owerri West Local Government, yesterday, ranked their institution high among others in the State.
Addressing journalists, at its premises, Head Principal of the school, Mr. Christian Modebe, with other top management staff of the establishment, said, the Shekinah British International is one of the leading schools in the State, adding that they have brought greater advancement to make their students excel in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English language and others.
“Established in the year 2018, by Dr. ObinnaUnegbu, The Shekinah British International Schools have produced students that had represented Imo State and Nigeria at international competitions, this is as a result of our excellence in service and connecting them with global exams. These have helped them gain admissions into top universities locally and internationally.
According to him, The school offers 24 hours electricity, Senior boys, girls hostels, halls are air conditioned, Internet Communication Technology (ICT), with a conducive learning environment. We also have football, basketball fields and other things that made our school unique. Shekinah British International School is organized, and has an entrepreneurship school, school of fashion designing, name them.
“Our school is doing well when it comes to curriculum development. We give the best to our students in character and learning.
He noted, that parents have done well by bringing their children to the school, and therefore pleaded with the State government to repair the Nekede – Ihiagwa road that had, he said, had remained in state of disrepair for a long time.
“Once the road is not repaired, it affects the economic activities of a particular area. Government should try to repair the road”, he pleaded.
Adding his voice, The Vice Principal, Administration, NwaigboUchechukwu, said, the school has a massive impact on the lives of the students. We have drawn recognition from locally and internationally. We also offer scholarships, he said.
