Speaker of the House, Somtochukwu Udeze, described Osekes death as a rude shock” and devastating to Anambra Assembly.

Anambra State House of Assembly has mourned former Deputy Speaker, Harford Oseke, who died on Monday at 64 years.

Speaker of the House, Somtochukwu Udeze, described Osekes death as a rude shock and devastating to the Legislative Institution in general and Anambra State House of Assembly in particular.

According to a statement on Tuesday by the Speakers spokesman, Emma Madu, Udeze said the late Deputy Speaker was able to give a good account of his stewardship, especially in his political career where he empowered a lot of people in addition to constructing numerous constituency projects.

In an emotion-laden voice, Udeze recalled Osekes peaceful disposition, humane nature, philanthropy, legislative prowess and conviviality, stressing that his community Umuawulu, Awka South LGA, State House of Assembly, Anambra State and Nigeria at large have lost one of the finest politicians.

He commiserated with the immediate family of the late former Deputy Speaker, urging them to uphold the good qualities of their husband and father especially his excellent service to God and humanity as a devout Christian.
