The Special Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State on Illegal Motor Packs, Pastor Frank Onwumere has vowed to continue his war against illegal packs in the state, especially Owerri Capital Territory and its environs.

Onwumere made this vow while addressing members of Okigwe Media Practitioners Association, who called on him in his office at the Heroes Square, Owerri, yesterday.

The Special Adviser also vowed to plug all loopholes of revenue leakages in his area of jurisdiction, by making sure all revenues accruing to the state government were promptly paid into the Single Treasury Account (TSA).

He narrated how he fought relentlessly to ensure that a revenue code was given to his agency, through which every revenue generated is paid into the Single Treasury Account (TSA) of the State Government.

He regretted that over time, revenues which were supposed to be paid into government coffers were diverted into private accounts of those he described as cabals in government, and the transport sector, making the individuals stupendously richer and the state poorer. A situation he said has resulted to Imo State generating the lowest internal revenue among its sister South East states.

Welcoming members of Okigwe Media Practitioners Association to his office, Onwumere described them as a formidable group of media professionals, promising to carry them along in the scheme of things.
