A renowned public health practitioner and Chief Convener of a humanitarian organisation, Nkwa Chi Kwere Foundation, Chief, Dr. ChijiokeKaduru has declared that the foundation came into being as God’s instrument of extending tangible material support to less-privileged persons in the society, particularly, in Owerri senatorial district of Imo state as presently constituted.

Dr. Kaduru who made the declaration in an interview with news men, stated, ” it is about being God’s tool to bring succour to those who need our help. Nkwa Chi Kwere Foundation is about acknowledging God’s fulfillment of his promise to me and my family, blessing us immensely in our faith, in our relationships and material things. Further, it is about using our privilege and these blessings to extend grace and support to others, especially, those who really need help”.

Dr. Kaduru who hails from Obiangwu autonomous community of Ngor Okpala local government area of Imo state posited that Nkwa Chi Kwere Foundation is intricately, linked to his Christian faith as well as his traditional and community roots as a titlled Chief in  Obiangwu community.

Defining the aims and objectives of the fast-growing humanitarian organisation further, the Chief Convener enthused, “Nkwa Chi Kwere Foundation is also, about God’s promise in 1 Kings, 20 :14, of the leadership young people can and will provide in the time that it is most needed. This is an age-long promise and one that is shaping my life and my actions. This is what Nkwa Chi Kwere means to me, and I hope that these principles continue to guide me on the Journeys ahead. I am inviting all people of goodwill to join me in this journey of fulfilled promises”.

Meanwhile, the Nkwa Chi Kwere Foundation in addition to empowering many indigenes of Ngor Okpala local government area with a strong assurance to carry out massive strategic empowerment programmes in the remaining eight local government areas of Owerri senatorial zone, has in reality, funded the enrollment of hundreds of people into the Imo state health insurance scheme, an extension of National Health Insurance Scheme.
