…Reaffirms commitment to release 2022, to 2025 result soon

The Imo State Government has announced the release of the 2020 and 2021 First Leaving Certificate results of the Universal Basic Education Assessment Test (UBEAT), also known as the Post-School Leaving Certificate Examination.
This development was confirmed by the Honourable Commissioner for Primary and Secondary Education, Prof. Bernard Thompson O. Ikegwuoha.
According to the Commissioner, the Governor, Senator (Dr) Hope Uzodimma graciously approved the release of the long-awaited results.
Speaking with journalists in his office in Owerri, yesterday, Professor Ikegwuoha said: “I am pleased to inform the general public that His Excellency, the Governor, Dist. Senator (Dr.) Hope Uzodimma, CON, GSSRS, has approved the release of the 2020 and 2021 UBEAT results.”
“Parents and guardians can now visit the centers, where their children/wards took the examinations to access their results.”
The Commissioner expressed regret over the delay in releasing the results, acknowledging the concerns of parents and guardians, who frequently visited the Ministry for updates. He also thanked them for their patience and understanding.
Similarly, ProfessorIkegwuoha revealed that efforts are in top gear to expedite the release of the remaining certificates for the years, 2022, 2023 and 2024, within two months. He reassured parents and guardians that their concerns are being addressed, adding that Imo state government remains committed to ensuring the educational progression of their children and wards.
“With this approval, we are assuring that the outstanding results will certainly be made available soon,” he said.
The Commissioner expressed appreciation to His Excellency, Distinguished Senator (Dr.) Hope Uzodimma, the Executive Governor of Imo State foe commitment in the education sector, and for safeguarding the future of the youths of Imo State.
