Imo State Government, through the Primary Health Care Development Agency will today, December 2 flag off the second round Maternal, Newborn Child Health Week.

This disclosure was made by the Executive Secretary of the agency, Kosisochukwu Ekenjoku while fielding questions from newsmen during an official invitation to the Deputy Governor, Lady Dr. Chinyere Ekomaru in her office at the Government House Owerri, yesterday.

She said the the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma has graciously supported the agency with nutritional products, such as vitamins, vaccines, ready -to-use therapeutic foods, to support all the malnourished children and pregnant women in the state.

“Our target is to reach one million children and at least, five hundred thousand pregnant women with these maternal newborn products.

“But with the support of His Excellency, we have far exceeded that number. We are very happy to have that result”.
