Mrs. Chidimma Christpina Olemgbe, wife of the Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chike Olemgbe has expressed immense happiness over what she called Imo First Lady’s exemplary way of life in motherhood practice.

Speaking while representing the wife of Imo state governor at a special Church service marking the celebration of the 2025 Mothering Sunday at the Assumpta Cathedral Church, Owerri, Mrs Chidimma Olemgbe described the Imo First Lady, Bar Dr Chioma Uzodimma as a patient, cool-headed and highly understanding woman who has supported, encouraged and stood by her husband in all situations and battles for survival.

According to Chidimma Olemgbe, what is expected of every woman and every mother is to stand strong behind her husband when the journey of life becomes tough and rough.

She expressed the view that any woman that runs away from her home in response to unexpected hardship or challenges of life is making a great mistake, adding that any mother who abandons her husband to his fate has simply taken a wrong step.

Mrs Olemgbe further, posited that the mother should always ensure that the children are not just allowed to grow in a wild manner, as according to her, any woman that is careless about the upbringing of the child would only end up producing children that would be a problem to both the home and entire society.

Chidimma Olemgbe commended Imo women, particularly,   mothers of Catholic Church extraction for contributing to the development of the state and growth of their individual homes.

The Special Church thanksgiving service was presided over by the Catholic Archbishop of Owerri Ecclesiastical Province, Rt Rev Dr Luscious Ugorji with some members of Imo State House of Assembly in attendance.
