…Urges TRANSTIL to desist from causing problem in the Institution, Imo.
A group Operating under the auspices Of Imo Equity Forum (IEF) has refuted allegation published on News point Newspaper with the caption “Imopoly: Group Urges Uzodimma to investigate alleged diversion of n330m accreditation fund”

The State Coordinator Of IEF Hon. Chukwuma Opara, while addressing journalists in Owerri, described the allegation as baseless, malicious purported by disgruntled elements that never meant well for Imo State Polytechnic Omuma and the State.
Hon. Chukwuma said that the allegation was aimed at tarnishing the image of the Rector,Prof Stephen Chukwuka and the Institution.
“As an organization that stand for equity fairness, advocate for transparency, accountability, and the advancement of tertiary education in Imo State, we wish to express our deep disappointment over the recent publication containing a litany of allegations against the Management of Imo State Polytechnic, Omuma”.
Chukwuma noted that IEF has investigated the allegation and they are convinced that the allegations are unfounded, misleading, and calculated to undermine the remarkable progress recorded by the present administration of the Polytechnic led by Prof Chukwuka.
He made it clear that one of the remarkable achievements of the current Management is the successful accreditation of the Polytechnic’s academic programmes, which culminated in a 100% accreditation success rate.
“This achievement was not accidental but the product of meticulous planning, prudent management of resources, teamwork, and unwavering commitment to academic excellence. It stands today as a landmark accomplishment that has restored confidence in the institution and enhanced its reputation within Nigeria’s tertiary education sector.”
He pointed out that Imo Equity Forum found out that the engagement and appointment of the Acting Bursar followed the appropriate procedures and reflected merit, competence, professionalism, and integrity.
He stressed the need for staff, students, alumni, parents, host communities, and all well-meaning citizens to reject campaigns of misinformation and remain steadfast in supporting initiatives that promote the growth and stability of Imo State Polytechnic, Omuma.
He advised media organizations and practitioners to uphold the highest standards of professionalism by ensuring that allegations are thoroughly investigated verified and balanced before publication.
He Urged TRANSTIL to desist from act capable of causing problem in Imopoly in order to maintain Peace and order in the Institution, adding that the Rector never diverted N330 million fund meant for the accreditation of programmes in the Institution.
