The Imo Deputy Governor, Lady Dr. Chinyere Ekomaru, has called on well-to-do Imolites to embrace the Shared Prosperity Initiatives of the Governor Hope Uzodimma’s administration, to help the government to impact more lives.
The Deputy Governor made this call on Saturday, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Umunohu, Amakaohia, in Ihitte/Uboma local government area of the State, during the Priestly Silver Jubilee celebration of Rev. Fr. Dr. EmekaEmeakaraoha and 25 years of his free medical mission, under his foundation, “Rev. Fr. Dr. EmekaEmeakaraoha Foundation”.
The Deputy Governor felicitated the celebrant and the people on behalf of the Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, as she also extolled the good and excellence of Rev. Fr. Emeakaraoha and his foundation. Hear her;
“On behalf of our dear Governor, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodimma, CON, and the Government of Imo state, I bring to you, hearty felicitations, while wishing you a happy and prosperous new year.
“In the same vein, I welcome all the guests, including the foreign agencies and partners, to this auspicious occasion of the Silver Jubilee celebration of our brother’s priestly ordination and commemoration of his Foundation’s 25 years of bringing succour to his and our people of Ihitte/Uboma, in the form of free medical treatment, in collaboration with foreign medical partners.
The Deputy Governor also encouraged the people to take advantage of the free health services, while calling other wealthy Imolites to emulate Rev. Fr. Emeka’s kind gesture to the people.
“While I enjoin everybody to take advantage of the commendable opportunity presented to us by our brother, let us commit him, his family and foundation in the safe hands of God, as I call on other well-to-do individuals in the state to take a cue from Rev. Fr. Dr. Emeka Emeakaraoha and key into the Shared Prosperity Initiatives of our Governor”.
The Bishop of Okigwe Catholic Diocese, His Lordship, Most Rev. Dr. Solomon Amatu, in his message, while congratulating Rev. Fr. Emeakaraoha for the milestone he has achieved in his priesthood, enjoined people to take seriously, the things of God, sow passionately in humanity and serve God in truth and spirit.
Rev. Fr. Emeka Emeakaraoha, has through his foundation attracted to Imo state (Ihitte/Uboma) foreign missionaries, including, medical doctors, mostly from Germany and Australia, to offer free medical services to his people.
Highpoint of the occasion was the commissioning, by the Deputy Governor, of the Event Center, built at the parish by the foundation.
Many dignitaries, including the Senator representing Imo North (Okigwe) senatorial zone at the National Assembly, Senator Patrick Ndubueze, attended the August occasion.
