The Deputy Chief of Staff General Services, Imo State Government House, Chief Ferdinand Uzodimma has bagged the award of Distinguished Excellence in Emergency Response Health Care

The award was bestowed on him by Tochile impowerment and Support Foundation, David’s Medical Consultancy Services and Bypass Pre Hospital International, in partnership with the Primary Health Care Development Agency, American Heart Association and the Federal Ministry of Health.

Presenting the award, Mr Ike Okey Humphrey appreciated Governor Hope Uzodimma for the enabling environment given to them, to go into the rural communities to advocate for the basic things they need, such as quality education and free health care services.

He lauded the Governor for the health insurance policy of his administration which promises enormous impact on the health of Imo people.

He disclosed that the Deputy Chief of Staff General Services has also tremendously supported them, reason they honoured him with the award.

“This award primarily highlights the deep importance of quick emergency response in cases of crisis, disaster. This award is not new, it has been existing since 1956, under the Pre Hospital Emergency Care Council, (PHECC), and the United Nations Action Committee on Drugs and Emergency prevention (UNODC)”.

Responding the deputy chief of staff lauded the group for carrying out their assignment diligently without any bad report against them from any quarter.

He also used the opportunity to highlight the return of peace and security to the state, which according to him,  made it possible for the group to carry out their assignment, without any violence, threat or harassment.

“When you go back to America, tell Nigerians there that Imo is a peaceful and habitable state” the deputy chief of staff enthused.
