Students of Royal College of Health Technology (ROCHTEC), Obi-Mbieri, Mbaitolu, Imo State, have been charged to imbibe good conduct, as they work hard to gain academic excellence that would enable them become successful, as well as make their parents and wards proud and happy.
This charge was given by the General Overseer of Christ Solution Ground Alter (CSGA), Akabo Ikeduru, Prophet Ben Uba (Old Prophet), during the 5th Matriculation Ceremony of ROCHTEC, held recently.
Prophet Uba who was officially invited to the Matriculation Ceremony by one of the pioneers of the Ministry, the Registrar of the Institution, Dr. Mrs. Gertrude Okorie and the School Management, urged the students to always abide by the rules and regulations of the College to make progress, advising them to remember their family backgrounds, what their parents and wards go through to sponsor them in school, hence the need for them to cultivate reading habit, referencing that “Daniel understood by reading books”.
Uba who enjoined the students to make good use of the College’s good facilities and serene environment to graduate in flying colors, told the college management to continually imbue the students with sense of humility, honesty, cultural values, good morals, “because when the students are conscious of these attributes, they will make positive impacts in various fields of learning, in line with the school philosophy of National Health Policy, which is Primary Healthcare”.
The Old Prophet advised the Federal Government of Nigeria to do something urgently in addressing the bad economy which he regretted has created hardship and hunger in the nation.
“The problem of Nigeria has nothing to do with food hoarding, the problem is lack of wisdom and not having fear of God by leaders, because the Bible says wisdom is profitable to direct. If we have wisdom, things will not be like this”, he added.
He urged leaders to apply pure wisdom in anything they are doing, maintaining that the fear of God, wisdom and understanding are the only ways to come out of all “we are passing through today”.
The Old Prophet assured that he would continue to pray for the country until there is a positive turn-around.
