A socio-political group, under the auspices of Ihitte Uboma Youth Vanguard has asked Barr Justice Uhuegbu, a human rights activist, to join the chairmanship race of Ihitte Uboma LGA.
QThe publicity secretary of the group, Comr Ifeanyi Nduka disclosed this, during a press chat with Our Correspondent, at Isiwenke, Ihitte Uboma LGA.
He said that Barr Uhuegbu has so far shown capacity, dedication and commitment in advancing the cause of effective leadership in the country, adding that he is the best option for the Chairmanship seat of the LGA.
Comr Nduka pointed out that Ihitte Uboma is lagging behind in development, due to the failure of successive leaders in the area, adding that the only way, people in the hinterlands would feel the impact of progressive leadership is when individuals with sound credentials, mount the saddle of governance at the Local Government Levels, which according to him, is the panacea to abysmal performance in leadership.
He appealed to Barr Uhuegbu to accept the clarion by joining the Ihitte Uboma chairmanship race.
However, in a swift reaction to the group’s request, Barr Uhuegbu thanked them for finding him worthy to serve the good people of Ihitte Uboma, and promised to respond to their request in due course.
