The body of the National Youth Service Corps( NYSC), member who died while watching the AFCON match between Nigeria and South Africa, Peter Yunana, has been moved out of Yola, Adamawa State, on Saturday amid emotions by his colleagues and students of the school where he was undergoing primary assignment.

His body is due for burial on Sunday in Makarfi, Kaduna State.

Yunana was one of at least five Nigerians who died on Wednesday due to tension during the penalty shootout at the semifinal match.

He was deployed to teach at the Government Secondary School, Numan, where he was watching the AFCON match before he suddenly slumped and died.

Many colleagues and students turned up as he was being conveyed in an ambulance from Yola enroute Makarfi.

The NYSC colleagues, GSS students and staff as well as officials of government, including the Secretary of Numan Local Government, David Belu Afremond, were at the Numan bridge, along the Yola-Gombe highway, to bid Yunana farewell.
