The remains of Late Ezinne Theresa Nwaerinma Njoku (Nee Uwalaka) has been laid to Rest at her husband’s compound , Lorji in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area Of Imo State after a funeral Church Service At St. Andrew’s Catholic Parish.Lorji at aged 86 .
Until her demise Late Ezinne Theresa Njoku was the mother of a Frontline APC Stakeholder , former IMC Boss , Former Special Adviser on door to door to Governor Hope Uzodimma and Aboh Mbaise Chairmanship Aspirant for the forthcoming September 2024 election Chief Barr. Sir Emma Njoku.
In a chat with Newsmen , Chief. Barr. Njoku described his late Mum as a Women/ Community Leader , pillar of the Njoku family whose Love for peace and Charity knows no bound . He recalled an incident ” I was surprised to see some women crying because of my mother’s demise. The major reason they gave was that my mother used to take care of them , she gave them farm to farm freely for the upkeep of their families ” That incident surprised me and I promised to continue to uphold the legacy she left behind.
Eulogizing his late Mum , he described his mother as a devoted Christian, a virtuous woman who
really loved and cared for him , in his word ” everything concerning me give my mum great concern, being the first and the only son among five girls” he expressed. He hinted that his mother’s demise came as a rude shock , while praying for the repose of her soul .
According to her abridged biography read by her son , Barr. Sir Njoku disclosed that his late mother was Born 86 years ago , 15th day of January 1939 to be precise into the family of late Joseph Uwalaka Nnaji and Late Mrs Christiana Ufoaku Uwalaka of Umulolo Amato Amuzu in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo state , she was the Eight child of her parents 9 children , a renownd fashion designer a great intercessor and a chorister, a member of so many organizations in the church , she became a member of Legion of Mary from her tender age till death and received several awards to her credit , most notable is a special award of Ezinne title.
Commiserating with the Njoku family, the immediate past member that represented Aboh Mbaise state constituency at the Imo State House of Assembly IMHA , Hon Eddy Obinna said that they came to commiserate with Chief Barr Sir Njoku on his mother’s demise, he said that APC is the greatest party in Africa , he enjoined the people of Aboh Mbaise to come and join the great party that APC will accommodate them.
In their respective speeches, Hon.Dr Ikay Njoku P.HD and APC Chairman of Aboh Mbaise LGA, Sir Tony Awusaku described Barr. Njoku as a symbol of loyalty, being 100 percent loyal to the party
The burial ceremony also attracted other high profiled personalities amongst whom are top government appointees viz SOLAD Aboh Mbaise Chief Donatus Anyanwu, former SOLAD, Aboh Mbaise, Mrs Ogechi Njoku, former IMC Chairman, Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA, Chief Francis Samuel Onyeberechi, the former candidate for Aboh Mbaise/NgorOkpala federal constituency in the National Assembly, Hon Engr Ifeanyi Akwitti wives of former IMC Chairmen led by the wife of Ahiazu Mbaise SOLAD Mrs. Vivian Obinna Chikwe, Chief Vitalis Onuoha, Nze Julian Nwogu, Dr. Chibuike Onyeukwu, Chief Linus Ogunka, Noble Sir Udo Anokwu, Chief Charles Ogudoro, former IMC Members, and Presidents- General in Aboh Mbaise led by Nze Placidus Eberendu. Tributes has been pouring in.
