Fire has gutted Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Information and Communication Technology (ICT) building of the council area.
The fire outbreak also razed National Population Commission (NPC) building. Although, the cause of the fire incident was unknown.
Efforts made to reach some leaders in the local government met some obstacles until Engr. Kingsley Onwubiko, who graciously accepted to speak.
He pleaded with Government to assist in the repair of the affected area. .
Asked to quantify the damage , Onwubiko said, that financial costs are deep . He estimated the costs to be in the neighbourhood of #500 to #750 million, adding that funds meant for other Projects would now be used the repair of the building, lamenting, “ in this inflationary period”.
