Imo State House Of Assembly has Urged the State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma to establish a college of Nursing Science at the Community Hospital in Inyishi Ikeduru LGA.

The House also agreed to urged the state Governor to direct the Ministry of Health to embark on inspection visit to the community, for the estiblishment of the institution.

The House made the call following a motion moved by the member representing Ikeduru State Constituency, Hon Johnleoba Iheoha.

Presenting the motion, Hon. Iheoha said that there is urgent need to train Nurses and Health professionals to compliment the ones being trained at existing Nursing and Health Colleges in the state.

He noted that thousands of Imo indigenes go to the neighbouring states, such as Abia, Anambra to acquire Nursing and Health training.
