…Calls for Gov Uzodimma’s intervention

Abiaziem Town Development Union has raised  the alarm over plot by some persons to plung the community into  crisis.

This was contained in  a Press statement issued by Abiaziem Leaders of Thought,  and signed by Mr Chima Awah.

The  Statement said: “The Abiaziem Town Development Union, on behalf of the good people of Abiaziem, raises an urgent alarm over the deliberate and reckless attempts to plunge our peaceful community into chaos.

We, hold the Traditional Ruler of Awa Autonomous Community, HRH, EzeIhezie Felix Ononuju , the Ezeoha of Awa Kingdom directly responsible for fueling tension, supporting illegal interference, and encouraging destabilisation in Abiaziem Town.”

“His actions, if unchecked, will lead to avoidable bloodshed.

We call on:

His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator  HopeUzodimma

The Executive Chairman of Oguta LGA, Hon IfeanyiNnani, all relevant security agencies

…to act now and stop Ezeoha from further meddling in Abiaziem affairs.

It is on record that Ezeoha is working in concert with some lovers of crisis  both within and outside the Town  namely: Mr. Nnamdi Obasi  living comfortably in Canada while sponsoring trouble back home

Mr. AmobiObasi staff of NNPC, Abuja, misusing his influence against the interest of his own people

Mr. Christian NwabuezeIgwe  Branch Manager, Union Bank, IkotunEgbe, Lagos, lending support to these divisive schemes

These individuals, in league with Ezeoha, are desperately trying to undermine the legitimate leadership of Abiaziem and hijack matters that do not concern them.”

Let the world know:

The  Statement continued: “Abiaziem Town is NOT part of Awa. We are a distinct and independent community, temporarily sharing one Autonomous Community status  nothing more.

Abiaziem’s dealings with Atan Oil Company will NEVER be decided at the palace of an Eze in Awa. This is an outright violation of long-established oil industry engagement protocols.”

“Atan Oil Company may visit the Eze in Awa purely for courtesy, but all matters affecting Abiaziem must be discussed in Abiaziem  with our President General, Youth Leaders, and Women’s Wing, just as is done in Awa for their own affairs.

We are not an appendage of Awa. We are a full fledged town with our own government, leadership, and voice.”

The Statement concluded: “We trust that the Oguta LGA Chairman, the Government of Imo State, and our security agencies will act with urgency to protect our people, safeguard peace, and prevent lawlessness from taking root.

If this crisis is allowed to fester, the consequences will be squarely on those who ignored this warning.

This is our cry to the world.

This is our call for justice.

Let peace prevail in Abiaziem and let those fueling chaos be exposed and stopped.”
