Gunmen have abducted at least six passengers, including five women and a bus conductor, along the Takum–Katsina Ala Road in Taraba State.

According to security analyst, Zagazola Makama, who shared the update in a post on X yesterday, the incident happened on Sunday morning at Kampo Village when the armed men, numbering about six, intercepted a Toyota Hummer bus belonging to Dan Pullo Transport Company.

“The bus, which was travelling from Rivers State to Gembu, was forced off the road and driven into the bush. They took the passengers’ phones, ATM cards, and cash, then asked for the PINs. Five women and the conductor who didn’t give the right numbers were taken away, while the rest were released,” Makama wrote.

Police patrol teams, local hunters, and Area Command operatives later combed the area, but the victims were not found.

Efforts are ongoing to rescue them and arrest the suspects.
