The Camphope Organization Worldwide, recently held a town hall meeting in Ngor Okpala Local government Area of Imo State.

The meeting which took place at Ngor Okpala Council Headquarters offered an opportunity for the organization to appoint the former Interim Management Committee Chairman of the LGA, Chief Mayor Nweke as the Leader of Camphope in the area and Hon Chimezie as LGA Coordinator of the organization.

Speaking during the meeting, the state organizing secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Ikechukwu Sunday Umeh commended the organization for their support to the present administration led by Governor Hope Uzodimma.

Hon Umeh noted that the Organization played much role for Governor Uzodimma to become the State Governor and urged them not to relent.

The Organizing Secretary stressed the need for the people of Ngor Okpala to support the Government of Governor Uzodimma and made them to understand that they have benefited a lot from the present administration especially on developmental projects.

He said that Governor Uzodimma appointed notable sons and daughters of Ngor Okpala to key positions in the state.

In her speech, the Mother General of Camphope, Lady, Amb Kate Osigwe said that the meeting has proved that the Organization is still intact in Ngor Okpala.

Amb Osigwe pointed out that they fixed the meeting base on the rumour making round the state that Camphope is no longer existing in Ngor Okpala and some of the members have joined other political parties.

The Mother General thanked the members of Camphope in Ngor Okpala for their steadfast, adding that the State Governor has not forget their efforts.

Also speaking, Hon Ferdinand Akanno expressed joy with the turnout of Ngor Okpala for the meeting and made it clear that Ngor Okpala is very important to the Organization.

In his speech the State Chairman of the Conference of Imo APC Support Groups, Amb Darlington Onwuegbu equally commended the Organization for their contributions during the governorship election in the state.

In their separate speeches, Chief Nweke and Chimezie promised to discharge their duties effectively.
