The Deputy Governor of Imo State, Lady Chinyere Ihuoma Ekomaru, has expressed the intentions of the 3R Shared Prosperity Administration, led by the Governor, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodimma, in championing an enabling environment for financial institutions in the state to thrive, saying that developing the financial sector is one of the key policies of the administration, aimed to ensure more business and employment opportunities for the state.

According to a press statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Dr. Charles Uzopuo, the deputy governor made this revelation while receiving on a courtesy visit in her office, the Alvana Micro Finance Community Bank MD/CEO, Mrs. Chimezie Nwabueze, with other management Staff.

The Deputy Governor hinted that Financial institutions play a vital role in shaping the economy of every society, while thanking management of the community bank for the role they have played in the Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education, Owerri, as she promised of the state government’s partnership with the institution in building a better and stronger business environment.

Earlier in her address, Mrs. Chimezie Nwabueze, stated that the Microfinance bank which has been in existence since 1993, has grown to be one of the community banking systems with modern day technology, as her administration has provided machineries that tackle challenges faced by customers.

While appreciating the Deputy Governor for the warm reception, she appealed for state government’s support in sustaining the bank and on behalf of the group, presented to the Deputy Governor, a beautiful picture portrait.

Principal Officers of the Office of the Deputy Governor present at the courtesy call were; Mr. John Njoku, the Principal Secretary, Barr. Sir Tobechi Ekomaru, the Deputy Chief of Staff, Lady Kelechi Nkwazema, Senior Special Assistant, Admin, among others.
