The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has reacted to the death of former Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, saying it received the news with sadness.
CAN President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, in a statement yesterday, extended the association’s condolences to Uduaghan’s family, the government and people of Delta State.
According to CAN, Uduaghan played a notable role during a period of heightened political tension in Nigeria.
“His commitment to dialogue, confidence-building and the preservation of national unity remains worthy of commendation,” CAN’s statement said.
“His passing is a loss to his family and all who valued his contributions to public service and nation-building.
“I pray that God will comfort his family and all who mourn him, and grant his soul eternal rest.”
