British-Nigerian businessman and influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, also known as Denisi or Ego, has died after undergoing a penis enlargement procedure in Thailand. The 43-year-old reportedly received injections containing 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine at an unnamed Thai clinic in March.
Ubiribo was staying at a Marriott hotel in Bangkok with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, when he developed complications following the procedure. The couple went for a massage, where Ubiribo complained of chest pain and twice lost consciousness. He was taken by ambulance to Sukhumvit Hospital, where he was initially able to answer questions.
Doctors diagnosed Ubiribo with a pulmonary embolism and transferred him to intensive care. His wife informed medical staff about the filler injections, but he lost consciousness before a recommended CT scan could be performed. Medics performed CPR for more than 100 minutes, but Ubiribo died in the early hours of March 6.
A UK postmortem found cellular material in his lungs matching the hyaluronic acid used in the injection, while coroner Jean Harkin ruled that the cosmetic procedure caused the fatal pulmonary embolism. Ubiribo, who had about 185,000 Instagram followers, was buried in London in a gold coffin reportedly costing more than $745,000, with mourners including Davido and Cubana Chief Priest.
