…Receives Enugu gov into party

The Chairman, Progressive Governors Forum of Nigeria, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, Tuesday, led other leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) political party in the South East zone and Nigeria at large to receive the Enugu State Governor, Peter Mba into the APC fold.
Speaking while welcoming all dignitaries to the official declaration ceremony in Enugu, Uzodimma who doubles as the Chairman, South East Governors Forum, congratulated Mba for his decision to join APC, which he described as wise and bold.
He made it clear that the action of the Enugu Governor will help to strengthen the excellent work of President Bola Tinubu in the leadership of Nigeria, adding that leaders of the South East were happy with the development, as it will help to strengthen the South East’s integration to the national politics of the Nigeria.
“We are very delighted and excited to receive the governor of Enugu State into our family. Earlier this morning, he addressed the world and informed us of his decision to join the All Progressives Congress.
“We in this part of the world, the South East are very excited and very happy”, the Progressive Governors Forum Chairman enthused.
Recall that, through his dogged effort, Uzodimma who was the only APC Governor in the South East when he came onboard has been able to lure Ebonyi State into APC before the 2023 general election, while the entrance of the Enugu State Governor is an eloquent testimony to his dogged effort to enlarge the coast of the APC in the South East and by so doing strengthen the region’s integration into Nigeria’s national politics.
He had repeatedly made bold to state that his mission and desire is to ensure that all the state’s in the zone collapse into the national ruling party. The entrance of the Enugu Governor is a bold step forward towards achieving his earnest heart desire.
President Bola Tinubu was represented by the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, who delivered his speech, welcoming Governor Mba and his supporters to the APC, assuring them of equal opportunity with old members of the party.
Other dignitaries in attendance included, the APC National Chairman, all APC Governors from across the country, former Governors of Enugu State and leaders of APC in the South East zone.
